    Default offset and move vertically

i have an interesting question from a user referring to difference of OOTB Washer / Dryer, see attached rvt, Dryer has Offset parameter and can move manually in elevation view while Washer doesn't have Offset parameter and cannot move manually in elevation view.
i didn't notice it before, and just want to know the logic behind it and how to control it when making similar family, thanks.

Default Re: offset and move vertically

see reply as below from Autodesk Support:

"I looked into the issue a bit more and found that the two families were actually created a few years apart, so the offset functionality was something that was original in one but not available in the other.

As for getting rid of the offset parameter or adding it, it's not possible. It's hard coded into the families and cannot be removed."
