    Default Hold Shift Key

so when i am drawing a rectangle and try to key in a distance for example @30,40. if i hold shift too long the icon for temp snap override comes up. when this icon comes up and i press 2 for the @ symbol. it snaps my rectangle to random points and never allows me to key in the coords. if i key in the @ symbol before the icon comes up it works fine.

so my question is where can i turn off the snap override feature or lengthen the the time interval?

    Default Re: Hold Shift Key

looking through help i found this

it does the same thing on F3
"Hold down F3 while you work.
When you release the key, the current running object snap settings are restored. "

and here i can adjust the time but i don't want to change this time
"To change the keyboard response time for temporary override keys
In the Windows Control Panel, click Keyboard.
In the Keyboard Properties dialog box, on the Speed tab, drag the Repeat Rate slider to adjust the keyboard response time. Then click OK. "

how can i disable the shift key since F3 works the same
