Default Processing time for dynamic cases - very slow

I'm analyzing a linear shell and bar model with like ~8000 nodes, 10 cases, 4-5 combinations and seismic loads defined, on a new 4 core PC with 8GB RAM.

For the static combinations, everything is OK so far.
Now when I want to see the results on shells for a seismic combination, it's more or less OK for simple Nxx, Nxy, Mxx, Mxy etc.
For the more complex mappings, including even sigmaXX, processing time gets very long, up to 15 minutes per map (e.g. sigmaXX or sigma1). This effectively ruins the job.
PC parameters are OK, no memory leaks, no consuming background processes.

I did not encounter this problem with the previous model which was far more complex and even included transient TH analysis.

I hope if anyone could point me to an error in my workflow.
Do you use the results preparation? If yes, have you encountered any hidden problems with it? is your processing time comparable to the example above?

    Nice model!!

are you using " Light" or " Light on maps" on Display/View parameters??
If you´re selecting more than 1 combination at the same time ,it will take longer to display the results , but 15 min is still too much for such good hardware.

Keep Display acceleration on 25% on Preferences/View parameters, Open GL checked

I'm experiencing similar problems on my brand new computer! It should work like a charm, but unfortunately I feel like driving a beautiful car with an old engine inside!......I'm considering to drop RSA 2011 and go back to RSA 2010 to finish my job!

    Good luck!

If there's a big number of nodes in your modal analysis, you should use the option "Save results only for quadratic combinations" that you can find in Tools, Job preferences, Structure analysis, Seismic analysis
