    Talking USGS 7.5 MIN QUADRANGLE MAPS

    How do you insert 7.5 min quad maps into C3d 2011. Glenn any Ideas?

    What format are they in? jpg, dwg, drg ? they come in many sizes and shapes.

    They are tiffs with the world file. I've done it before using map, but the menus changed.

    To insert an image the command is mapiinsert (double i) at the command line. With the ribbons the map image insert is in the workspace named Tool-based on the insert tab> Image panel. Using the default Civil3D workspace its can be inserted from the insert Tab, References panel, Attach and selecting image as the file type. Also because images are now treated like an x-ref you can also use the xref manager to insert them, however if they georeference I suggest using the mapiisert command.
