Default Is there a difference between Interior and Exterior elevation tags?

I'm having some issues and just realized that we have all of our exterior elevations tagged with interior elevation tags (I guess because they like the way they look). Is there a difference between the two in terms of properties or anything?

This is related to an issue I describe here http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=128831

doing that and then selecting elevation tags brings this up - see attachment
