Batch convert from Revit to .dgn

Hi everyone,

First off, moderators, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this thread, so please move it if it is irrelevant. Thanks!

I have 2 questions:
1. Is anyone familiar with converting Revit files to Microstation files?

2. Is anyone familiar with batch converting .dwg to .dgn?

If anyone can help me with either of those 2 questions, that would be great Thanks and have a good one.

You can use i-model plug in for revit to convert .rvt to .dgn.
OR You can export directly .dgn from file>export>cad format>dgn.

Hello Thanks for the simple answer, but is not that simple. The lines come out all wrong. In Autocad every 2d line lives on a layer, and in Rivet they live in a family. When converting from Revit you have to set up the families to convert to the correct AutoCAD layer and just to throw a spanner into the works. Every office has a different set of layers as you know you can invent any number of layers and name them what you like.
I need a good guide on the process of converting to autocad office standard layers from revit families. IS there anyone out there who has done this sucessfuly and would like to share?
