Default How to catch element snap points in a view for coordinates

when you hit GR (grid) it is easy to start from midpoints, endpoints, and other snaps for other grids

but when it is a need to annotate a coordinate of the end point of a wall (or inner/outer corner of two walls joined) the coordinates are NOT captured exactly , differences reach about 3 centimeters in some cases (when compared to the coordinate of the same point captured from AutoCAD by hitting ID, i.e. the real coordinates)

when you hover the mouse, snap shapes do not highlight to catch the intended point of an instance (element)

I hope I have misunderstanding rather than it is a shortcoming of Revit

    Thanks in advance

it looks like Revit can't snap to intersection when placing spot coordinate, snaps only to one face.
if you use thin lines and zoom in close, you might be able to see the problem. or place another spot coordinate on the other face at corner.Revit gets the right coordinate dimension, but it is hard to place at corner intersection. I think you have found something that needs a fix. or you will need to zoom in close to place spots and give them a bit of a nudge to read correct.

Found a work around - use the tab key when placing spot
you should see a dot at intersection of wall corner.

pressing tab button is just to toggle between AVAILABLE snaps.

the point is that you do NOT have snaps

for example : intersection of wall centerline with a grid, or wall face with grid
