"-" minimize function

I frequently am typing in feet & inches.
When I type a "- sign" screen want to minimize.
How do I turn off this function?
It is a PAIN IN THE ***. Enough said.

Has someone already figured this out?

Answer: It appears that you just have to hit the Insert key while no command is active.

Look at the menu and you can see pressing the ALT key toggles menu shortcut underlines on/off. With them off you should be ok.

Thanks for the tip. I've been having the same issue for months and never knew the reason or a solution.

Do you (we) know why in Acad 2011 this is happening?

Is there a more permenant fix or will just hitting "insert" once do it for good?

Or do we need to hit the insert key everytime we want to use the "-" key?

Thanks for the link Tom, I'm glad to see it wasn't just me.
I guess I'll need to look if my ALT is toggled on or not next time, plus the "insert" key trick works too.
