Migrating CUI from AutoCAD 2010 to ASD 2012

Autodesk claims the AutoCAD 2012 that comes on the ASD 2012 disk is the same as AutoCAD 2012 but there was no prompt for migrating custom settings from AutoCAD 2010 during installation. Any migration has to be from same product to same product (ASD to ASD, AutoCAD to AutoCAD). I made the mistake of doing a crossgrade from AutoCAD 2005 to Revit Structure Suite 2010 thinking I would always get a separate AutoCAD disk to install each year when the new suite came out. In the 2011 version AutoCAD came on the ASD installation disk. Now I can't migrate my CUI into AutoCAD 2012 (ASD disk version).

Does anyone know how to manually migrate my workspace settings and CUI from AutoCAD 2010 to ASD 2012? My only other option is to go through the tedious process of recreating my CUI in 2012.

I believe if you go into the CUI modification tool in ASD and click the transfer tab, you can open the old CUI file even if it's an older version. We have done this in the past from ASD 2009 to ASD 2011, but I can't say anything about ASD 2012, but it's worth a shot. Good Luck.

If you go start, Cad, ASD 2012 you find the migration custom settings in there.

But for me is erroring. and its not bringing in express tools.
