    Default OD imported into Civil3D, now what?

    Hello forum,

    I love reading all the tips and tricks on the AUGI site and hopefully will be able to help out as well one day.

    I need some help and would greatly appreciate any tips and tricks for my issue. I have created an AutoCAD civil 3D drawing using a shape file containing contour data and have also given the Z values from the shape file to the polylines via Murphs instructions (He is awesome!). Now I want to add the elevation text/label to the contour lines, do I need to create a surface first or is there a method to do this using the existing data table?

    Not to take anything away from Murph - because all that was necessary at one time - but you don't have to go through all those steps any longer.

    Use the command _AeccCreateSurfaceFromGISData - details can be found here:
