Default Harnessing Civil 3D 2009 - CD - Need Replacement

We are just starting our Migration to Civil 3D 2009 from LD 2008. So I found some Civil 3D 2009 books at reduced prices. Ordered the subject book which shipped with an intact disk but arrived with Disk in multiple pieces. Sadly about 1/2 the book is not in the book but only on the CD. Looks like my bargain price was not as much of a bargain as I hoped.
So, if anyone with the book and CD is willing to get me a copy of the CD, well, it would be awesome. TIA

Mastering Autocad Civil 3D, by James Wedding & Scott McEachron.

Sybex Press. Can be ordered from Amazon.com, & maybe found at your local Barnes & Nobel. All the tutorial files can be downloaded from sybex.com.

If you're just making the jump from LDD to C3d, I'd recommend going to 2010 (Sp3), and forgetting 2009. 2012 has just been released, and 2011 is currently the one most are using. 2010 has some features that 2009 doesn't have, and is pretty stable. 2011 (Sp1) is the first 64bit program and works well with Win764. It's pretty stable too.

Also, look hard at your hardware. Going to C3d, you'll NEED!! a 64 bit OS to access the 8gig of ram (min) that'll allow gradings to not be so squirrelyly they'll crash the program when used. I'd very seriously consider a new box with an I5-2500 processor & 8gigs of ram, Nvidia graphics card & Western Digital Caviar HD.

OK, one more thing - GET PROFESSIONAL TRAINING! You've just left Kansas now Dorothy, and the sooner you can think that this is a NEW PROGRAM, and NOT LDD, the better you sanity will be. Training is going to be the most cost effective thing you can do. The +/-$1000 that it'll cost will be repaid in you first project.

If you don't think you can budget training (WARNING, WARNING, DANGER, DANGER Will Robinson) - do the tutorials by locking the front doors, taking the phone off the hook and taking 3 days of vacation.

Also, while this forum is a very valuable resource, it doesn't appear to be as active as

    http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-Civil-3D/bd-p/66

So, as you have questions, you might look to both places (many here are there too).

I've orders 3 other books, two are authored or co-authored by Harry O. Ward, and James Wedding. I've seen some of their work and know it's good.

There are several books published for each version of Civil 3D. You'll need to let everyone know what the book(s) are that you have if you want any hope of someone being able to help out. Just give it a shout out and maybe someone will have what you're looking for, but they won't know until you actually state the specific book and what version.
