Default DOOR AND WINDOW BLOCKS NOT DISPLAYNG CORRECTLY

    Hi All
can any one help me with this.

When I add a door or window to a model and then use the view tab to generate elevations the hinges and locks show as if they were mirrored.

If I insert a left hand hinged door into a model then generate the elevations from the view tab the plan view shows the left hand hinged door but the elevations show a right hand hinged door
If I insert a hopper window in to a model and generate the elevations from the view tab the hinges are shown at the top not the bottom
If I insert a double hinged door into the model and then generate the elevations in the view tab the hinges are shown in the middle of the two doors and not on the frame.
I know there must be a box ticked or un-ticked somewhere But I cant find it
    any help will be appreciated
    Thanks in advance
    John

Follow down in style with the view used to create the elevation (Model? or Elevation?) and you will find a tick box 3rd tab I think for hand the swing. "Reverse Handing" under Other tab. for doors.
As an Aussie I have to tick box which is opposite to US.
We use open side indicates hinges while closed side indicates handle (centre) but I think US uses alligator? open mouth is open side?

Yes, we do. Never heard it described as an alligator before, but I like the analogy.
