Default Migrating from Microstation to AutoCAD

    Hi all

We have got a bunch of DGN files which we need to convert into DWG files. I've worked with ACAD for a long time and currently we have 09 version, however this is first time I am using microstation (v8i version).

One way to go about is to open DGN file in microstation and saving as DWG. However, one thing which I'm not following is the transfer of layer properties is not reflected in Layer Properties Manager list in ACAD, although the entities show the corresponding properties.
(see attached image to elaborate my point).

This is not the only issue I have. Other issues being:
    1. How to convert/migrate cell libraries (.CEL) files to blocks (.DWG) files?
    2. How to reduce time in checking the migration of DGN to DWG has placed the entities on corresponding layers with respective properties.

Can someone please suggest a method as to answer these questions?

    Regards,
    N
