    Default Using the room schedule

    Hi all

What I need is the complete details of each room listed out like Room names, wall finishes, floor finish, aea etc.,so my clients can see them accordingly. Currently I have been using Autocad for the drawing and Excel for the datas and creating a link between the two, using macros and sharing datas. This works but is complicated. Now I need to do the same in Revit. Room schedule seems to solve the problem but the issue is the floor finish and wall finish are not being displayed in the schedule even though I have assigned some for these. Can anyone help me out on this?

    ThankYou

There is no easy way to do it. But there is some Add-inn's out there. I hope it helps.

I'd suggest trying the space tool, it is a heck of a lot more powerful than rooms... I'd perform this from an external revit file though, link in your model, place spaces, then create schedule (though I'd test this process after placing 2-3 spaces to ensure you will get what you want prior to performing the work of placing all your spaces).

Not sure this will work, but it is what I'd try.

I created Shared Parameters that apply to rooms with the parameters I need in the schedule... Its fill in the blank though....but you can go to a room and see what is assigned there.
