AEC - default style - default layer - strange lines

Hi all,

I´m starting to use AEC dimensioning in Autocad & but still trying to figure out some things...

1- How can I change the default AEC dim. style?
It always uses the "standard" style, when I start a new dim. line... but I want it to use different one by default.

2- Is it possible to change (by default) the layer, where the dim. line is drawn? It´s always drawn on a Layer called "A_dimension" - I want different styles on diff. layers.

3- What are these strange lines at the end of the dim. line? (see img) And how can I get rid of them?

You are in the right forum. Response times tend to slow down during (northern hemisphere) summer. I do not use AEC Dimensions much, but I will try to answer what I can.

1, How are you starting the command when you place an AEC Dimension. If you are using a tool palette tool, you can create a custom tool that specifies the AEC Dimension Style of your choice (and import the style from your style source file, if necessary).

2. The DIMLINE layer key determines the layer on which AEC Dimensions are created. Create your own Layer Key Style to customize the assigned layer.

3. The lines you question are AEC Dimension Group Markers. You can control their visibility with the display system.
