Thumbs down Transfer Project Standards (View Templates) Fails

Revit MEP 2012, but not necessary limited to MEP. I am using the Transfer Project Standards tool between 27 different files, all started from the same template. Each has the necessary view templates already in them. I am trying to make changes to the first of the 27, and then transfer the project standards to each of the others, making for a consistent looking set of drawings. Unfortunately I am finding that if the view template already exists in the project, the settings do NOT get overwritten. Or at least not completely overwritten (by not completely I had floors and walls set to transparent, settings didn't transfer, Filters had line weights & colors changed, that did not transfer, etc.). At first I was trying to just transfer the view templates, then I remembered you need to get the Filters category as well. Still didn't work. So then I tried transferring every category available, and still didn't work. Has anyone else had difficulty with this?

Most definitely have had and still do have those issues.
Revit seems to tie itself in a knot when it has to overwrite something that exists, and new only doesn't work sometimes either.
If I remove everything and than transfer, it appears to work ok. If I choose overwrite or new only, Revit usually throws up all over itself.

I'm glad you said something. I thought I was going crazy.

Yes, It does appear that deleting out the view templates prior to transferring does solve the problem. I had been adding digits to the names and then transferring new, but this is much cleaner. Thanks for the suggestion!

    Thanks,
