    Default Strategies for Grading Basins

I have a basin which is basically a long rectangle, but it requires modeling of a head wall at one end and an outfall at the other. It also includes two straight access 'roads' running diagonally into one of the sides.

What would be the best approach?

there are two schools of thought on this.

One would be to use gradings and feature lines for all of the above.
Some might also use a Feature line as a Wall Fault to create the head wall (breakline)

Others might do this as a corridor...without seeing the actual geometry it is difficult to suggest the correct geometry and number of assemblies, alignments and or assembly offsets and offset alignments to use.

Feel free to send me or post a picture of the geometry and desired cross section(s) for further advice.
