    Default 2011 Multiple Electrical Connectors

I have created a family with (2) electrical connectors, for which I am setting different demand factors.

I would like both connectors to be circuited to the same circuit. However, when I circuit one connector, I cannot add the other connector to the same circuit.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

You might try placing another Device and adding it to the circuit. Then select that new device, edit circuit and add the remaining connector from the first device. Once all three are connected you can remove the extra device.

What piece of equipment requires two demand factors and needs to be on the same circuit?

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe an AHU but typically that would be two circuits. Fan - motor, compressor - hvac.

you could need two demand factors if an AHU has a large electric heat section in it. That electric heat, depending on the climate where the project is could have a lower demand than normal. Its an odd situation, but does come up.

You definitely needd two connectors if the above is true. I had one AHU once that had a ~25hp supply fan and 400A of heat, I needed a seperate circuit for the darn heat.

A large electric heat will have a separate connection (or at least will be able to connected separately)

Only small heat elements will be tied into the fan (which is usually small as well)

A self-contained refrigerated case could have a single feed with multiple demand factors for lighting, fans (continuous), and defrost (non-continuous).
