    Default Reporting Parameters

I am trying to get a clearance dimension to change the visibility of a door swing from out to in for the sake of a toilet partition. Everything in the family is working with this exception. I tried to make the clearance dimension a reporting instance parameter so that I could place a conditional statement in the object visibility and I get the following error "A reporting parameter can be used in a formula only if its dimension references are all to host elements in the family."

    Can anyone translate?

    Default Re: Reporting Parameters

The reporting parameter needs to dimension the actual geometry of the family not the ref planes. See this post. http://forums.augi.com/showthread.ph...port+parameter
(I seem to recall that the opposite was true in the curtain panel template, but I might be 'mis-remembering'.)
