Default Need help with 3D piping or hoses

I design 3D hose gages for the automotive industry. I have a hose that is bent in a 45 deg angle. One end of the hose is 1" in dia and the other end is .75" dia and I need to blend the 2 dia's around the corner radius. I am doing this in a solid. Thanks for the help

    Hi, welcome to augi.

Try the LOFT command. You'll want a polyline for the centreline to allow you to position (most likely) 4 circles that represent each end of the hose and the ends of the transition.

Ah, sorry, didn't notice that you're using the 2000 version.
I don't think it was possible to both bend and taper a solid over the same length until the 2007 ( ? ) version.
It is possible to do it with a surface mesh though.

If you do go the surface mesh route, search for m2s.lsp, a lisp routine which will convert many mesh objects to solids.
