Default Feature Lines, Markers, and Text Styles

I've noticed in 2012 a problem with AutoCAD styles and feature lines. Here's what's happening.

I created a block ("Block1") with mtext (to style "Text1"), with dimensions (to style "Dim1" with font "Text1"), and with mleader (to style "Leader1" with closed heads and font "Text1").

I have created a marker style ("Marker1") that uses the block "Block1". I then have a feature line that I use to insert the marker "Marker1" into my profile.

The text style, dimension style, and mleader style that were in the block are the wrong style as displayed in the marker. If I insert the block into the drawing, the text style, dimension style, and mleader style are the right styles.

In the block, OK. In the marker, wrong.

I have 32 bit. My co-worker has the same problem using 64 bit. This only appears to appear when you are using the marker with a feature line, and the marker when inserted as a PI marker comes in correctly.

Does anyone else have this problem? Or am I on my own again?

I just ran a test by creating a test block consisting of mleader and some text and assigning this as the alignment start point marker.

    No issues

may I see a copy of the file in question?

Mine works fine with alignments. The problem comes in when you use the block as a marker for profiles. (Specifically, mine are for feature lines projected to profile views.)

Try that and let me know what you get.

It appears to work without issue.

I am happy to examine your file to determine the cause and or solution.

UPDATE: I recently did something that created a very similar problem, and I thought that maybe someone could use this new info to help solve my problem.

I did use "ConvertLineworkToMaskBlock" on a profile in the profile view in question that I have the feature line projected to. I have noticed (confirmed by other comments I've seen online) that when you add such a mask to a profile, the labels with that profile will also be set to a generic font, just like my block is.

Could I be having a similar problem here, and has anybody figured out a way around it?

    Scott

(By the way, are you still willing to look at the file?)
