    Unhappy Deck with slabs

    Hi!
I want to make a deck with slabs and apply a load only on the beam underneath the slab. Is it possible? My problem is that the concrete distributes the loads to the columns near by and i cant make my load to NOT go trough the concrete and only act on the selected beam...

    Default Re: Deck with slabs

I believe the only method is to use panel calculation model with simplified transfer of load (using trapezoidal and triangular method) for slabs. Unidirectional load transfer may be enough, but in some cases You would have to turn off transfer of load via some elements. To do this use menu/geometry/additional attribures/load distribution - options... That should help.
