Question Ltscale for different View Ports

So I finally understand how MSLTSCALE, PSLTSCALE, LTSCALE, and CELTSCALE work in conjuction.
When you have everything set right, your linetypes look the same in model space as they do in paperspace. Except for one thing. If I have viewports of differing scales, It doesn't work as well.

Generally speaking, if I have a 1/4"=1'-0" dwg, I set MSLTSCALE, PSLTSCALE and LTSCALE to 1. I then change my Annotation Scale to 1/4"=1'-0". That works fine. However, if I create a new viewport on the same layout or another at 1"=1'-0", it doesn't look the same.

    Am I missing something?

    Thank You.

Activate the Viewport and set the PSLTSCALE(?) as needed for the Viewport.
(I think that's the one. I don't do this often enough to be sure.)

No. Keeping in mind psltscale is set on each layout, the linetypes will display the same with your settings. If you draw a line in each viewport the linetype should display the same. Take a look at the plinegen system variable if a polyline seems to be mostly continuous.

Two workarounds xref into another drawing with a different ltscale or use different linetypes in each viewport.

Always remember to "regenall", regen doesn't always refresh the look of the viewport and objects aren't regenerated automatically with any new scales, linetype etc.

...and its a good idea to do the REGENALL while in the active Viewport too.
