    Question Revit to Robot

I have a model in Revit which I want to export to Robot.
I tried to make the analytical model as good as possible (to my ability I hope), but some planes I just can't get into the right place.
For example (e.g.?) I noticed that if I adjust the top extension a side changes too ...
I don't have a good control on editting the analytical model.

So I wanted to just export the current analytical model to Robot and finetune it there. But in Robot I have an even worse control...!

Is it even possible? I found a thread on the saying that it wasn't and that the workarround was something like exporting your beams coordinates to excel or something. This shouldn't be the way to do it, is it?

Am I doing something wrong, not seeing something? Am I just stupid?

Im using Revit Structure 2012, Robot Structural Analysis 2012 and the Robot integration addon.

Found out that I could edit the model only graphically. Only the nodes of bars could be editted by changing coordinates.
There might still be another way for slabs, so far I only found out how to graphically edit them.

You have to model the beam accurately. Also you must take in account the analytic line of the element in Revit.

I do want to adjust the model in Revit, but I think that the tools are not sufficient to do this. When I adjust the analytical model, unexpected changes are made. I can't control it very precisely!

It's a small model, but I think it is rather complex due to the combination of concrete and steel. There are curved/bend beams under the roof and walls are not exactly ontop of eachother.

Would you like to see it?

I found a sollution in using referenceplanes to align my analytical model to (walls, flooredges, beams and colums! (just not wall edges)).

I never thought of aligning walls, beams and columns to reference planes or grids! This gives me more control! Furthermore I found this link.

Now I can even adjust the flooredges! This all helps alot!!!
