Default Xref to DWG Association (dependency)

    Hello All!

Is it possible to open a known Xref DWG and see what DWGs are using it as an Xref? This is basically the reverse of opening a DWG and looking at the External Xref dependencies. I want to open the Xref/DWG and see a list of all DWGs that use this particular file as an Xref.

Thinking that this would probably have to be done using a macro/script, but perhaps there's a feature within 2012 for which I'm unaware?

    Thanks in advance!

    Clint

    Thanks for the quick reply.

The Reference Manager is a great tool for seeing what Xrefs are assigned/associated with a given DWG, but I'm looking to do the inverse of this.

    Example:

Currently the Reference Manager shows that Xrefs X, Y & Z are assigned to DWG "A". I'm looking to find what drawings (such as "A" et al) specifically use Xref "X".

Do this with Design Center, Search function, use the drop down list 'Look for' and pick Xrefs, then pick a location to search, finally type in the name of the file in the 'search fr the name'' area.
