Title Block Attributes update across Layouts when they shouldn't

Hello, and I hope some one cane help me.

When I place the value of an attribute in my Title Block in (ie: Layout 5) it places the same value in the previous 4 layouts. When this occured I right mouse clicked on the Title Block and found out that I did not have the option to edit attributes. Double clicking on an attribute title does not bring up the Attribute Manager either.

I can not have 11 drawings all with the same titles.
What can I do?

Well, from the looks of it, you have a block for a title block, not an attribute. If you are using acad 2004 or newer, you probably activated the refedit command when you double clicked the block. This allows you to edit the block in place. When you do that & save your changes to that block, it will affect all the others becuase they all have the same name.

Ok!

Your drawing frame is a Block inside a Block that is why when you make any changes they also appear in the other locations (Layouts).

Your actual drawing frame with Attributes is Block "PPI-CQA-A1"

Block "PPI-CQA-A1" is then inside Block "PPI EAGLE A1". If you Double-Click on Block "PPI EAGLE A1" the ._RefEdit command is run.

If you simply Explode the Block "PPI-CQA-A1" in each Layout you will be good to go. Now when you Double-Click on Block "PPI-CQA-A1" the ._EAttEdit command is run.

Perhaps I should have indicated that Steve.
Yes, the Title Block is a block, and inside of it are the attributes. How can I get it to stop placing the same values in the other Title Blocks. I have deleted the title blocks and re-inserted them again, only to have the same problem. I have even tried bring in another title block and the same thing happens.

I thought I had two choices
1. edit block
2. edit attributes
All I can seem to do is edit the block in place.

Yes I have acad 2004.
What can I do to fix this?
