Performance Issues C3D 2012

Hello. I have just switched workstations. Previously I was running C3D 2011 on a pretty descent machine. 8GB ram, 1GB dedicated video, i7. Pretty smooth for the most part. My new machine with C3D 2012 has SSD, 16GB Ram, 3GB dedicated video, i7. Seems like it should fly through drawings no problem. Some drawings are performing fine, but other have an tremendous amount of lag. They are pretty much unusable. Any ideas on what could cause the decrease in performance? It seems like drawings that have x refs could be the offenders. I know we could get into whether the video card is certified...ect, but it seems to me that its a bigger underlying issue. Any comments are helpful. Thanks

I would need to see samples of the offending data to better offer comentary to both cause and or cure.

Have you installed service pack 1 and the ribbon hot fix?

I have installed SP1. I actually was searching around and found some people had problems with selection cycling. I just toggled this on and off a few times and all cursor lag seems to have been resolved. Cant explain it, but it worked. The ribbon hot fix is a separate download from the SP1??

if the hardware acceleration feature is on (3dconfig command) it will cause your computer to lag.
