Default Data extraction - Dynamic block rotation quirk

I have created a number of dynamic "master" blocks inserted into a master layout at various rotations (0, 90, 180).

Each of those "master" blocks consists of other dynamic sub-blocks.

I am trying to extract the X,Y coordinates of the sub-blocks from each of the "master" blocks, one "master" block at a time.

If the "master" block's rotation is 0 or 180, dataextraction correctly returns the X,Y coordinate of EACH of the sub-blocks. Perfect!

HOWEVER, when the "master" block's rotation is 90d, dataextraction returns ONLY the insertion coordinates of the "master" block for EACH of the sub-blocks and NOT the X,Y coordinates of each sub-block.

This is not very helpful to my objective. Anyone have an idea what AutoCAD is thinking? HELP!!

    This is a 2D drawing.

Can you post a drawing that shows what you mean by master and sub-block? Those are not AutoCAD terminology, so getting an example of what you mean by those terms is kinda critical to understanding what you want to accomplish

I will "dumb-down" the drawing so that the file size is reason and leave only the troublesome aspects. Will post later this AM. To simplify, the blocks (master) I'm trying to extract from are composed of other blocks (sub).

Attached is a DWG with the blocks inserted at the (4) orthogonal orientations, as well as my extraction template.

Not so - the site will not allow me to upload the files - WTF??

There is a 2 mb size limitation on dwg's. You might try zipping the files. Also, only certain extensions are allowed. What extension does the template have?

The drawing file size is 213KB so that's not the issue. Highly probable that I'm just not familiar with the upload process since it's not exactly straightforward and dummy-proof. I can modify the template file extension (.dxe) to TXT which should upload okay - not so, the extraction template exceeds the site's file size limit. I'll have to work on that (it's about twice the file size limit, which is pretty small).

Upload of DWG resolved - I had to use the "Basic Uploader".
