Why does my legend component only have 3 views available?

I made a generic face-hosted model of a bracket to be used underneath a roof eave soffit. Since it's face hosted, the bracket is upside down in the family.

The problem now is that when I try to make a legend view with that bracket so I can dimension it, it only gives me Floor Plan and Front or Back Elevation views of the bracket. It doesn't give me Left or Right views to choose from.

Another problem is that the elevation views in the Legend show the bracket upside down. Is there no way to make it display right-side up in the legend view?

Do I have any other options besides cutting a live section somewhere in the model? I'd really rather not, as this bracket is a standalone piece that will be produced many times, and I'd like to have something tied to the family itself that I can dimension, but not be part of the actual model.

We are still using the tried and true method of having an "Annotations" phase that is in the future relative to the New Construction phase. We have a level also called Annotations, well below the building. We put all our doors, windows, casework, whatever in that phase, and on that level, and through regular old plans and elevations show the stuff with dimensions and tags, and that's how we do legends.
