Default Automated selection based on geometry.

I have a multitude of lines starting from z=0 to z= varies. What i did was color each set of lines between the length of one unit,(1.2,1.7,1.96 etc) to a specific layer with a specific color. I did that with the quick select tool applied on the: entire drawing, object type: line, properties: length, operator: < less than, value : 10(9,8,7 etc), then move selected lines to a specific layer.

What i want to do is put this in a script, so far it should be something pointing in this direction.
ssx pick line length <20 layer blue
Obviously it would not work like that(syntax), but that is the main idea.

If it helps i have every coordinate in the drawing and i could try making them on separate layers from the start if possible, not just modify them afterwards.

Hi there, I'm going to go ahead and move this from the AutoCAD General forum to the AutoCAD Customization forum as it will be better served there.

    Cheers.
