Default Disappearing text in PS that's in MS

it's where it's supposed to be in MS, but when I click over to PS, it disappears! It's not on a locked layer; and the layer is on in the VP. Cannot see it when I window into MS from PS, only when I actually go into MS. Any ideas? Very frustrating! Thank you!

Is it annotative text by any chance? If it is the annotative scale of the text and the scale setting of the viewport in paper space have to be the same... otherwise it may not display.

There is an Annotative Visibility button on the task bar. If you turn it on you can see all annotative text regardless of the scales set. Now you can select the text and add the desired scales to it.

I have been having the same issue with text that is in an xref. I have scoured the drawings and tried all the annotative text suggestions, but it doesn't seem to be related to that. The only workaround I've found is to unload the xref and save the file, and then re-open the file and reload the xref. Very frustrating.

With an xref, you may have created a new layer. If visretain is on in the parent dwg, the new layers will not be brought in. If you've changed layer settings in the xref and want to update the parent dwg, set visretain to 0, reload the xref, then reset visretain to what it was previously.
