Default Ribbon Migration From 2009 to 2012

I just did some searching for some help on this migration from [vanilla] AutoCAD 2009 to [vanilla] AutoCAD 2012 thing. Seems like the general consensus is migration is 'iffy' at best, so I long ago decided NOT to migrate. I am however going to use my cui files to bring customization forward.

    Current setup 2009:
    1) custom cui's with work such as toolbars and toolpalettes.
    2) unfortunately as I was fiddling around with launching dwts on the ribbon, I just did it in the main cui. Now we are upgrading to 2012 and I 'transfered' to a new cui by means of the drag/drop method within the cui editor.

The new setup 2012, so far has gone well through the 'cuiload' command except for the second part. I got my tab as well as my ribbon panels and flyouts with buttons that work, however I did not get the discription with it.

Is there something else I was suppose to do as I was dragging/dropping in the 2009 cui editor ?

Only other thing to note is that the new workstation is Win7.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Why not just open/load the .CUI file?

... AutoCAD will convert it to .CUIx automagically.

yep, that is what I did in the 2012.

But first I figured it would be a good idea to put the 'old' ribbon tab info into it's own cui so I could just load it as a partial cui. (remember that I had done the customization in the 2009 acad.cui).

I am figuring out that the specific info within the cui editor (specifically in properties) is slightly different from 2009 to 2012. So I am having to tweek settings anyways to get the panel/flyouts/buttons to act/react like they did in 2009.

Here are a couple of screen shots for what I am missing (pointed to in red). I cannot seem to find the right place to put the info to have it show up. There are multiple places for the info. thought I tried them all. Any thoughts ?
