I need to show Domestic Cold Water and Hot Water piping on my plan. Is there a way to assign a certain line style to the different pipe family types that I have created?

If you created a domestic cold water and domestic hot water pipes as types for pipes it's pretty easy. You need to set up a filter, and filter by type name and then you can use overrides in the visibility graphics under the filters tab. If you don't have the different types set up for your pipe I don't know of any way to achieve this. If you need help on how to set up filters let me know and I can walk you though it.
