    Default Slope in Vertical Pipe?

Attached is a screen shot of a typical situation where (as a result of pipe constantly moving within Revit) a vertical pipe has developed a slope. And yes, that slope is 227,739 19/32” / 12”, technically mathematically impossible but there it is. I digress.

My question is, is there a way to remove this slope without having to redraw the pipe?

    Thank you

Did you look at it in a section view? Is it truly "sloped"??

It "looks" straight but I have to "plumb" the pipe by either redrawing it or using two section views and a straight detail line aligning the pipe removeing the slop tag and make the pipe plumb.

Having this slope can (and usualy will) cause problems with making elbows and tees on or off the pipe.

Have you tried clicking the slope (when the pipe is selected) and adjusting the slope that way?

Yes, but that will not work. What is the slope of a vertical pipe?!!! 0"/12" will result in a horizontal pipe, 12"/12" results in a pipe sloped at 45 degrees. More often than not I just get one of Revits many generic error messages like "pipe is too short" or "Pipe is being drawn from the wrong side of the fitting..."

I am thinking this should go in the MEP wish list as either a "plumb pipe" command or "Stop piping from moving after it's placed." request.

Has anybody found a solution to this yet? This happens to me all the time. From r12 to r18. I'll draw everything plumb, change one pipe location, and then vertical pipe across the project slopes.

    Quickest is probably redraw...

If you'd rather not, then yes sections and dragging it straight.

This happens to me all the time as well. It really needs to be fixed. And suggesting to "redraw the pipe" is ridiculous when this happens after you have drawn several vertical pipes in a project.
