Default Work Remote Via VPN on my laptop

Ok so occasionally I work from home via my laptop which I also use in the office.

When in the office I, as the CAD Manager, have networked our Tool Palettes. The folders where they are stored are read only for everyone except me, to cut down on "accidents".

When at home I log-in to the the network via VPN and then open AutoCAD.

When I open Options all of the network folders I had saved in the Support File Search Path are gone.

My Tool Palettes are gone. But when I open Options it is still pointing to the Network Drive.

When I open "customize palettes" all of the Palettes are there, The Palette Groups are there but empty.

    Any ideas?

Ok we determined it’s a VPN “nature of the beast” type of issue and is fixed.

When I VPN into the network I have to check that I have an established link to the network drives (no red X’s showing in Windows Explorer) before I open AutoCAD. If there are red X’s I just have to open those drives with Windows Explorer to re-establish the link and then open AutoCAD.
