Default Part Builder - Structure Height problems

    Hello All,

I am in need of some guidance. I am trying to make a 2-tiered eccentric manhole. This is very similar to an OOTB part called "Eccentric Cylindrical 2-Tier Circular Frame SI". I decided to simply modify that part to my own specs. These are the changes I made to it:

Changed the cone height to 0.0001m (my part does not need this)
Changed the frame height to 0.0001m (my part does not need this)
Change the inner structure diameters in the list
Changed the wall and floor thicknesses
Changed the frame and cone top diameter
Changed the barrel height to a list
Changed the barrel diameter to a list
After all these changes were made I ended up breaking the thing. I have found that the barrel height does not stay put. If I change the barrel height in structure properties it will not change and if a connected pipe changes then the barrel height reverts to something different. I have also found that changes to connected pipe do not reflect in the structure. If I drop a pipe invert the bottom of the structure does not follow. Any ideas?

Go back to the OOTB part.

Make one change, validate the part
    Test the part...if it works

    Make one more change
    Validate the Part
    Test the part...if it works

    Make one more change
    Validate the Part
    Test the part...if it works

Basically you changed too many variable in one go to know exactly where or what you stuffed up in the process.

    Thanks for the response!

I initially did that and the part validated every time. I ran into a couple hiccups along the way and the validation errors helped me troubleshoot, but I have gotten to the point where it validates but does not work properly. I've uploaded the files in case you or anyone else wants to take a look.

The files are in 2011 format (metric)

You may have validated the part; however did you TEST each change as you made them to verify that the part still worked?
If you had tested your changes incrementally it would be much easier to know where to even start looking for a solution.

Ahhh, yes. Sorry, I forgot to mention that. It seems to me that everything goes haywire when I change the SBH (structure barrel height) from a range to a list. I have a list of heights that these barrels use. They are in 610mm increments.
