I work for a Mechanical Contracting company and we draw in 3D with the MAP Software (specifically CAD-Mech or as it is now known as CADMEP+) plugin for AutoCAD. Our Plumbing Drafters are having an issue with elevations on their sloped pipe. Typically they are able to hover over a piece of pipe and it will tell you the elevation at the particular location you are pointing to. The operation seems to work fine when the pipe is located close to 0,0,0 but we draw at true sea level elevations and the operation does not seem to work when at a high elevation. At the actual elevation it will only read one value for elevation no matter where on the sloped pipe you hover over. Our drafters seem to think that this could be due to the drawing limits setup in AutoCAD.

Now my question:

If they are correct in their assumptions and it is the drawing limits that are restricting this operation, is there a way to set a "Z" limit in addition to the "X" and "Y" limit to keep this from occurring?

Thanks.
