2013: Glitch with Scale command??

I have been having weird glitches with the scale command in 2013- the scale command works fine until I try to snap to a point for my base point. If I pick an end point as my base point, the command ends itself. Anyone else having this issue? And is there a way to fix it?

Is the problem limited to one file, or does this happen in all files including new ones? Cannot replicate here, is there something else missing from the post?

I have just up graded to LT 2013 and started to have this problem. I tried several of the tedious workarounds suggested on various forums. Then I reported it to AutoDesk and withing 15 minutes got a reply with a link to a patch to repair the problem. I installed the patch and now the command works properly.
