Dynamic Input Text overlapping with Tool Tips

I am a relative noob to ACAD C3D and found the following behavior to be quite annoying. I am trying to dynamically edit a vertical profile but the Station text keeps being placed behind other text boxes as shown in the attached screencap. I've tried a multitude of settings changes with no luck, so any ideas are greatly appreciated. Also, is there a way to get the Elevation text to show up near the cursor, rather than halfway between the VPI and the profile datum?

I never really noticed it before but mine does it too. I guess I didn't notice because when I drag my cursor around the station box comes to the front. Plus I can type the new station in whether the box is in front or back.
