When talking to AutoDesk, no matter if it's in your files or not, they should be able to tell you what the issue is that's causing this in the first place, so that it can be rectified (hopefully). If it does not behave the same in versions of ACAD, something has changed in recent ACAD versions to cause this.
If you do not get the answers you need, escalate your issue within the AutoDesk chain of command until you do. Don't settle for "The problem is your files". Make them tell you why different versions are behaving differently. Please do let us know what happens!
