we trying to make door legend in the project but we cannot put dimension in it.

No solutions as of now. Someone suggested earlier in another thread, to use reference plane to dimension them. Too much work rather.
Just do it the pre 7.0 way and place an elevation tag infront of each window and door, then turn off everything but doors and windows, now dim and place on a sheet. Takes all of 10 min. for a whole set of documents, then takes another 10 to hide the unwanted elevation tags.

When I do this i set the properties of these elevations or sections to not show at scales greater than 1:5 or whatever is suitable... That will automatically turn these off in all views pretty much.Originally Posted by sbrown
Or, you could set up a "management phase" and place instances of the door and window types in that phase for use in a legend.
Good tips!! maybe this should be moved to the Tips and Tricks page.

Definitly a good idea. I have thought about that in the previous. Since there are bunch of persons who are working on the same project, I do not want to comfuse others by additional doors or windows.
I may do it this time. But strongly suggest that we should have the dimention function in legend in next version!
By the way, I found the movie where your name come from!
I expect it will be there before too much longer.Originally Posted by yzhou
