Default Automatically Zoom Fit when opening a view

Summary: Many times when you open a view, you must Zoom Fit in order to see your geometry.

Description: Many times when you open a view, you must Zoom Fit in order to see your geometry.

An automatic zoom fit when opening a view whould take care of this.

That is a good idea Jim, but I would like to see this as an option to have verses having it do it automatically.

For this reason in mind, when I open up a view and zoom in to three or four rooms. Then I double click on another view to open to coordinate with, lets say a RCP or something else it automatically takes me to the cropped area that I am looking at. This is nice to have when multiple views are open.

I would like to see this taken a step further - where a user is able to lock two+ views together. One would pan over to another room in one view, with the other views that are open and locked, they will move the same. This will be useful so the user does not have to pan multiple views, they all move at the same time.

I think that the opened View should only perform an automatic Zoom Extents when the screen is blank. I very much like opening a View of a different Discipline and seeing the exact same area.

    And Regarding:

This is a brilliant idea as a temporary (per user, per session) setting. I can too well visualize great frustration from unaware users fighting with the zoom of their Views, not realizing that they're locked together. But if it existed, I would certainly make heavy use of such an ability to "Bind" views as described.
