Question Automated / Scripted Tasks in Revit

I am in the process of standardizing our family library, and one thing that is consistent across each family is needing to create the 3D view "Preview", adjusting its visibility settings, changing the view scale, orientation, etc. etc.

Since this is becoming tedious quickly, is there a script or some way I can run an automated string of commands when I open each file so I'm not doing all of the repetitive clicking?

Photoshop has this feature under Actions where you can record a series then replay them later in a different file. It is very handy and I guess I'm looking for the same end result in Revit...

    Any suggestions?

I'm still new to Revit myself. Try doing a search for "Revit API". You can look at this site first
