Default Convert various Autodesk models to revit

    Hi guys,
As a part of my BIM management duty, I need to submit an As-Build Model in Revit format. I keep getting models from our contractors none of which are modeled with Revit. Programs they are using are CADPipe, AutoCAD MEP, TEKLA and AutoSPRINK.
Clients main purpose is to use the Revit model in Facilities Management software therefore each conversion into Revit should not only contain exact geometry but also the information.
I am trying to do it via IFC conversion but haven't been succesfull so far.
I will be pleased if you share your experiences with me.

    Hi

The problem is that AFAIN most of those programs produce 2D info, except Tekla which I know is 3D. There is an add-in for tekla available which should help getting the info into your revit model.

If the other programs are giving you 2D files then you will nedd to re-model within revit you cannot convert it.

    Hope that helps.
