Civil 3D- object snaps quit working

I am running C3D on Windows 7, 64 bit system. Objects quit a little while ago. Any ideas?
PS: this may show me to be a new member, however I was a charter member thru my
company before retirement.

First thought is to ask what your OSMODE System Variable set to?

Is it possible that just the autosnap marker and/or aperture box are not enabled?
This could give the appearance that object snap is not working.

Command: Options
Drafting Tab
Make sure Marker and Aperture Box are checked.
