    Default Yet another roof!

    Hi,

I can't get this roof to behave how I want it too. The tricky thing is that the falls need to be as shown by the arrows. This means that the roof edge along the highlighted fascia needs to change in height. We need to do the roof like this for structural reasons and cannot have the non-45 degree angle as is presently shown. Any idea how I can make it work?

    Thanks

Can you model the roof with the it's edge on the grid line, then cut out ( using the Opening Tool under the Modelling tab ) the triangular piece to achieve the shape you want ?

Good idea. It totally skipped my mind to use the opening tool to actually cut off a bit of the roof. I'll try it out. Thanks.

edit: thanks - that worked great.
