Angry Text in Dynamic Block Not Reading Correctly When Mirrored

Attached is a dynamic block of a smoke/c.o. detector. I have a few of these on a floor plan and at times the entire floor plan needs to be mirrored. I would like the text itself to mirror as well so I don't have to select each dynamic block and mirror it again to read correctly.

I have mirrtext set to 0. I have read that creating attributes will solve this problem however I have created attributes in the dynamic block and I still cannot get it to read correctly when mirrored.

Anyone who can help me through this?

Well, I've got two suggestions after looking at the block.
    a) use a TrueType font for the text, and move everything onto layer 0, set colors to byblock, and insert the block onto the layer it belongs on (truetype will stay readable regardless of layer color/pen settings)
    b) use a CO block, and a SD/CO block. if all your dynamic options do is swap attributes, it's not really worth fighting with to get it working.

    KISS principle

    c) somebody else comes up with a fix

typically how i would handle this is...
    1. mirror your floor plan
    2. select one of the blocks
    3. right click and choose "select similar"
    4. go to properties and change the affected scale coordinate value from -1 to 1

if select similar doesnt work, use qselect and choose by block name

P.S. this will only work correctly when your block has a basepoint at the center of the object (which yours does). It will still work otherwise but you may need to move the blocks a bit after changing the properties.

I'm sorry to ask because I cannot tell:
Do you have two Attrib's in this DynBlk? And if so do they both have the same Tag?
And if not how do you get one Attrib to have two different Preset Values?

If the Attribs have the same Tag then change one or the other and that should fix your problem.
If this is two Vis States with different preset values and Text heights for the Attrib then create a second Attrib and that should fix your problem.

Attrib's must be have unique Tags and be Locked when used in Dynamic Blocks.
