First, make sure that you actually have a workspace selected.
not sure how to select a work space, isn't it automatically architectural work space?
Its possible that no ws was set as currently active. See the pics below to set one active or switch to another ws.

Its also possible that after the product was installed and you ran it for the first time, that some of the files from the install did not make it to your user profile. If the above doesn't work, try doing a repair of the install.
