    Default Aligning Patterns on Massing?

I created some forms using massing that I want to appear the same as the brick walls adjacent to them. I haven't been able to align the patterns.

Is this possible? Is there a workaround to get them to align?

Normally, you can use the align tool to make this happen. Just click on the joint lines you want to start from.

Yes, normally when you are aligning a pattern on a wall (model element). When I use the align tool on the massing pattern, it just moves the whole mass (the pattern appears as an underlay, or drafting pattern).

The whole reason for making these elements massings is because I was having so much trouble with the adjoining walls messing with eachother, changing relationships, not displaying correctly, moving, etc. There are fairly complex (for Revit to work out) relationships between walls at various elevations as you can see from the attached image. Creating the arches using massing has solved a great many issues relating to showing the building to the client in 3D. But now, we need to document, and I can't have brick coursing going all over the place.

Did you try converting the mass to a wall and painting that wall with the appropriate brick model pattern.?

    Should work.
