Files not going into sheetset.

When using sheetset manager some of my .dwg files are not going into a sheetset. In most cases I can easily pick a folder containing .dwg files and create a sheetset which all files will go into. But in other folders picked to create a sheetset, most of the files in that folder will not go into a sheetset. Some will, most won't. I am new to using Autocad, and would appreciate any help. For the most part, when I have had that happen, it is because the files in question do not have a formatted Layout (modelspace-only drawings are not imported into sheetsets, because they're considered a drawing space, not a plotted output sheet).
